Coming for your first hijama session? Knowing how to prepare can help you feel comfortable and get the most out of your appointment.

Before your appointment

Try to avoid eating a heavy meal for around 3 hours before your session, while continuing to stay well hydrated. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that makes it easy to access the areas being treated. For back treatments, appropriate covering and privacy will be provided throughout.

During your session

Before we begin, we’ll have a short consultation to discuss your health, the treatment and the areas being cupped. The skin will be prepared, cups will be applied to create suction, followed by small superficial incisions for wet cupping. The cups are then reapplied for a short period to complete the treatment.

Your comfort is important, so you can ask questions or let your practitioner know how you're feeling at any point.

After your Hijama

After your session, you’ll be given simple aftercare guidance to follow at home. Stay hydrated, eat something nourishing and take some time to rest and relax.

Your practitioner will also be available to answer any aftercare questions you may have following your appointment.

Most importantly, enjoy a little time for yourself. ♡
